Deck overview

This is a Boros artifact-ramp/combo deck that uses Sami, Wildcat Captain's affinity for artifacts to turn a modest board of mana rocks, artifact lands, and cheap artifacts into vastly discounted 9-12 mana plays. The primary game plan is to develop early artifact mana, use tutor/cheat engines to accelerate, and then close through one of several overlapping artifact-centric win conditions: Blightsteel Colossus plus Chandra's Ignition, infinite colorless mana from Basalt Monolith with Zirda, the Dawnwaker or Forsaken Monument into Walking Ballista/Staff of Domination, or the Mycosynth Lattice + Karn, the Great Creator hard lock. Goblin Engineer, Goblin Welder, Daretti, Rocketeer Engineer, Feldon of the Third Path, Madcap Experiment, and Thran Temporal Gateway form the hidden-commander cheat package that makes the high curve function.
