Deck overview

Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca commands a synergistic Simic Merfolk tribal tempo deck that blends low-mana creature deployment, steady card advantage, and unblockable combat pressure. The deck opens by establishing early board presence with cheap Merfolk such as Mist-Cloaked Herald, Kumena's Speaker, and Silvergill Adept. Once Kumena enters, these creatures serve as tap fodder to draw extra cards and distribute +1/+1 counters across your entire team. Tribal lords including Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, and Merfolk Mistbinder rapidly pump the board, while Herald of Secret Streams and Spreading Seas ensure your attacks bypass blockers entirely. Backup engines like Hakbal of the Surging Soul and Emperor Mihail II maintain creature velocity and land acceleration. The deck defends its board with an interactive suite of cheap counterspells and protection spells like Inspiring Call, steadily snowballing power until overwhelming all three opponents through combat.
