The Hidden Power of Face-Down Cards 🎭 100€ Budget [Video Guide] by user8430204

Format: Commander

Commander: Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer is the deck's engine and focus: her discount makes one face-down creature per turn free, and each face-down entering draws a card. The deck exploits this by packing morph and manifest cards, most of which are also flexible removal or counterspells. Its primary win is to turn a wide board of face-down 2/2s into lethal via Beastmaster Ascension or Triumph of the Hordes. A second, slower path uses Vesuvan Shapeshifter copying Brine Elemental, with Etrata, Deadly Fugitive as the hidden commander, to flip it cheaply each turn and skip opponents' untaps. The build has strong draw but no tutors and limited free interaction.
