Deck overview

This deck uses King T'Challa // Black Panther, Hope Enduring to turn group draw into personal card advantage. Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, Temple Bell, Kwain, Itinerant Meddler, and other draw effects create the second-card events that trigger the commander. The main supported finish is Approach of the Second Sun: cast it from hand, draw through its seventh-from-top placement, then cast it again. With an early commander and Howling Mine, the engine is usable around turn 4, the first Approach is a credible threat around turn 7, and the win can occur on turn 8 if uninterrupted. The deck also uses Psychosis Crawler, Sphinx's Tutelage, Chasm Skulker, and Shabraz, the Skyshark as draw payoffs, but these are slower or less deterministic than Approach. Its main weaknesses are giving opponents cards, relying on several permanents staying in play, and having limited fast mana and protection.
