Deck overview

This deck combines hand disruption, hand information, counterspells, bounce, and a late-game combo. Telepathy and Seer's Vision improve the accuracy of Cabal Therapy, Nebuchadnezzar, and targeted discard, while Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Fell Specter turn discarded cards into mana, cards, creatures, or life loss. The cleanest finish uses Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. The deck needs Fell Specter or another reliable starter because the enchantments do not begin their loop by themselves. With both enchantments and Fell Specter in play, Cabal Therapy starts an unlimited life-loss loop that can target each opponent. Tutors help find the pieces, but the five-mana enchantments, four-mana starter, and limited early acceleration make the ordinary clock slow. The deck is vulnerable during setup and has only partial recovery after its nonland core is removed.
