Forbidden Woods by Solitary_Tortoise

Format: Commander

Commander: Jasmine Boreal of the Seven

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Selesnya midrange combat deck helmed by Jasmine Boreal of the Seven that weaponizes creatures with no abilities-both true vanillas and face-down morph/manifest bodies. Jasmine accelerates those spells with her tap ability and grants them near-unblockability against the ability-heavy boards typical of Commander. The 99 leans hard into morph, megamorph, disguise, and manifest payoffs (Trail of Mystery, Whisperwood Elemental, Experiment Twelve, Deathmist Raptor, Ugin's Mastery) alongside efficient vanilla beaters (Leatherback Baloth, Kalonian Tusker, Watchwolf). Card advantage comes from creature-cast and combat-damage engines rather than tutors. Primary wins are ground-based combat through evasive wide boards and flipped haymakers; secondary paths include one-sided resets via Phyrexian Rebirth or All Is Dust into a rebuilt army. The deck plays as a grindy, resilient beatdown strategy that turns the morph tax into a feature.
