Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis Midrange Aristocrats build commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. Its strategy revolves around distributing +1/+1 counters across its creature suite and leveraging Marchesa's triggered ability to recur those creatures at the beginning of each end step whenever they die. The deck utilizes free sacrifice outlets like Carrion Feeder, Goblin Bombardment, and Warren Soultrader to continuously sacrifice and reuse powerful enters-the-battlefield and death triggers from creatures like Baleful Strix and Solemn Simulacrum. Temporary theft cards such as Claim the Firstborn, Mark of Mutiny, and Act of Aggression double as permanent removal engines by placing counters on stolen creatures and sacrificing them so they return permanently under your control. The win condition focuses on generating overwhelming board presence, locking down opposing noncreature spells with Glen Elendra Archmage, and closing games through unblockable attacks with Herald of Secret Streams, damage doubling via Uncivil Unrest, or sweeping board theft with Mob Rule.
