New Untitled Deck by user5231399

Format: Commander

Commander: Jon Irenicus, Shattered One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Jon Irenicus, Shattered One leads a political-donation deck that gives opponents creatures with serious downsides, such as Abyssal Persecutor (can't lose) and Steel Golem (can't cast creatures). At your end step, you donate a creature you control, putting +1/+1 counters on it, goading it, and making it unable to be sacrificed. The donated creature attacks each turn (and can't be blocked by its controller), and you draw a card whenever a creature you own attacks. The deck pressures opponents with damaging effects like Sower of Discord and Phyrexian Vatmother, while maintaining a controlled board via Propaganda, No Mercy, and bounce spells. Primary win conditions are attrition through life loss and commander damage, but games can proceed slowly. The commander is integral to drawing cards and to the donation plan, so any removal of him greatly reduces momentum.
