Deck overview

Qala, Ajani's Pridemate leads a dedicated mono-white lifegain aggro strategy that turns steady life increments into overwhelming combat power. The deck opens by establishing low-cost 'Soul Sister' enablers like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Ajani's Welcome to gain life whenever creatures enter the battlefield. This engine rapidly fuels +1/+1 counters onto scalable beaters such as Voice of the Blessed, Ajani's Pridemate, and Qala itself. Once Qala enters the battlefield, its attack trigger grants massive power buffs to the entire attacking board equal to its counter count, turning modest 1/1 tokens and utility creatures into lethal combat threats. Card advantage engines like Welcoming Vampire and The Gaffer keep resources flowing, while threshold payoffs like Righteous Valkyrie and Speaker of the Heavens provide flying token generation and broad team anthems. While vulnerable to mass creature removal and lacking fast stack interaction, the deck presents a clean, resilient aggressive clock that reliably pressures opponents through compounding life and power disparity.
