Fire Lord Azula by Grymm33

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck is helmed by Fire Lord Azula, a commander that rewards attacking with copied spells and mana generation. The primary game plan is to cast Azula, attack to trigger her firebending for red mana, then chain copied instant and sorcery spells during combat to build overwhelming value. The deck leverages a dense package of rituals, copy effects, and magecraft payoffs like Veyran, Voice of Duality and Ashling, Flame Dancer to generate massive mana or burn damage. The final win condition is usually a copied Crackle with Power or a critical mass of Guttersnipe triggers, often accelerated by Mana Geyser and Sozin's Comet. The deck is fast, explosive, and heavily reliant on its commander's combat-phase copy ability to reach critical mass, but it also includes a robust interaction suite to protect its key turns.
