Deck overview

This is a Mardu combat-value deck led by Fire Lord Zuko. It converts cards cast from exile and permanents entering from exile into +1/+1 counters, while firebending provides temporary red mana during attacks. The supporting package uses impulse draw from Reckless Impulse, Wrenn's Resolve, Light Up the Stage, Prosper, Tome-Bound, and The Legend of Roku. Large attack payoffs such as Etali, Primal Storm, Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest, Iroh, Dragon of the West, and Ozai, the Phoenix King can create strong turns. The deck's main weakness is that its value engine does not automatically become lethal. It needs several creatures, attack steps, and often a specific extra-combat or damage-amplification card. Its interaction is respectable for casual play but lacks broad stack coverage and consistent protection. It should be viewed as a midrange combat deck with explosive high-roll turns, not as a deterministic combo or competitive control deck.
