Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange strategy centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages passive Amass Orcs triggers whenever opponents cast spells, growing a formidable Army that fuels the Ring-bearer mechanic. Upon connecting in combat, the deck discards its hand to draw four fresh cards, generating massive card velocity to overwhelm opponents with card advantage. The battlefield is developed through efficient ramp into high-impact threats, spellslinger payoffs like Lord of the Nazgûl and Saruman, the White Hand, and powerful Dragons such as Cavern-Hoard Dragon and Scourge of the Throne. The interaction suite combines flexible creature removal, targeted countermagic, and sweepers like Blasphemous Act. Win conditions rely on compounding combat damage from massive Armies, unblockable attacks via The Black Gate or Rogue's Passage, and incremental burn from Fiery Inscription and The Great Goblin.
