Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos damage-reflection and Treasure combo deck. Smaug the Impenetrable is an indestructible lightning rod: point any noncombat damage at him and every point becomes a Treasure, while the deck's reflector suite turns the same damage into opponent life loss. The primary loop is Repercussion, Arcbond, or Blazing Sunsteel plus a red sweeper such as Blasphemous Act or Star of Extinction, finishing through table burn, Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, or Toralf, God of Fury chains. Secondary plans include Treasure-accelerated haste dragons and beatdown with Goldspan Dragon and Smaug the Magnificent. The deck is explosive and redundant, able to pivot between direct combo kills and artifact-count alternate wins, though it relies on drawing its pieces rather than tutoring for them.
