Norman Osborn // Green Goblin (Concept) by mazz

Format: Commander

Commander: Norman Osborn // Green Goblin

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger/graveyard-matters deck helmed by Norman Osborn // Green Goblin. The front side is a cheap unblockable connive trigger that fills the graveyard while chipping in for commander damage; the back side, Green Goblin, is the real engine - it discounts all graveyard casting by {2} and gives every nonland card in the graveyard a mayhem cost equal to its mana cost, effectively turning the graveyard into a second hand with a heavy discount. The deck pairs dense wheel/discard effects (Windfall, Wheel of Fate, Whispering Madness, Echo of Eons) with premium draw engines (Rhystic Study, Notion Thief, Orcish Bowmasters) to fill the yard and bury opponents in card advantage. Wins come through chained extra turns (Time Warp, Temporal Manipulation, Temporal Mastery, Expropriate) plus X-spell finishers like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, with Underworld Breach as a backup recursion engine.
