Deck overview

Zurgo Stormrender is the engine and token generator of a Mardu aristocrat/token deck. Each attack creates a Warrior token that dies at end of combat, triggering Zurgo's draw ability and all death-pingers. The primary plan is to multiply these tokens with Isshin, Mondrak, Ojer Taq, Elspeth, and Kaya, then convert every token entry and death into damage via Purphoros, Blood Artist, and other drain effects. Secondary paths include a massive Devilish Valet, Bolas's Citadel as card advantage and finisher, and Ruinous Ultimatum as a reset. The deck functions without Zurgo through other draw and token engines, but he is the main accelerant.
