Deck overview

This Jeskai Humans deck, helmed by Eowyn, Shieldmaiden, is a token-swarm aggro strategy that leans heavily into the monarch mechanic for card advantage. The primary game plan is to trigger Eowyn each combat by ensuring a Human enters the battlefield that turn, generating two hasty 2/2 Knight tokens, then snowballing with anthem effects like Shared Animosity and Vanquisher's Banner. The deck aims to win through overwhelming combat damage, often accelerating with Combat Celebrant for an extra combat step. A secondary plan uses the monarch's passive card draw to refuel, while pieces like Taunt from the Rampart and Champions of Minas Tirith control the board. The deck is built around its commander; without her the token generation slows considerably, but other token makers and the monarch theme keep the engine running.
