Trump, Art of the Deal by user2070609

Format: Commander

Commander: Breena, the Demagogue

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov political-value deck built around Breena, the Demagogue's combat bribe: every attack on the player currently leading in life puts a card into the attacker's hand and two +1/+1 counters onto your creatures. The deck is engineered to make the table fight itself - a layered pillow-fort of Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, Crawlspace, Nils, Discipline Enforcer, and Orzhov Advokist deflects aggression, while Parasitic Impetus, Ghoulish Impetus, and Immortal Obligation goad the biggest enemy threats away. Card velocity is enormous: Esper Sentinel, Trouble in Pairs, Smuggler's Share, Mangara, the Diplomat, Court of Grace, and Shadrix Silverquill bury opponents in advantage as the monarch/combat engine runs. Counter-synergy pieces - Dusk Legion Duelist, Generous Pup, Felisa, Fang of Silverquill, The Ozolith, and Resourceful Defense - turn that growth into a persistent, rebuildable army. With no infinite combos, the kill is combat attrition: a wide flight of Inklings, Angels, and giants, double strike from Duelist's Heritage, and surprise Inkshield blowouts.
