Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet combat deck commanded by Shaun, Father of Synths. Its strategy revolves around deploying powerful legendary creatures and duplicating them as non-legendary Synth artifact tokens during attacks. Acceleration pieces like Sol Ring, Talisman of Creativity, and rituals power out Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Kratos, God of War, or Purphoros, God of the Forge ahead of curve. Once Shaun attacks, creating attacking Synth copies triggers compounding combat steps and ETB burn damage. Complementary artifact payoffs such as Cyberdrive Awakener, Akroma's Memorial, and Padeem, Consul of Innovation provide evasion, protection, and explosive finishes. The deck also features a devastating late-game one-sided lockout via Mycosynth Lattice combined with an overloaded Vandalblast. While Shaun's trigger that exiles all Synths upon leaving play creates a clear vulnerability, the deck's dense threat redundancy and potent backup beaters ensure rapid recovery and relentless offensive pressure.
