Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat aggro list built around Isshin, Two Heavens as One. The strategy leverages Isshin's ability to duplicate attack triggers across a dense array of token creators, card draw engines, and life-drain effects. In the early game, the deck establishes its mana with two-mana rocks and deploys low-cost threats such as Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon and Adeline, Resplendent Cathar. Once Isshin hits the battlefield, attacking creatures produce double the tokens and double the life-drain triggers through payoffs like Mishra, Claimed by Gix, Brutal Hordechief, and Commissar Severina Raine. Combat utility pieces like Dolmen Gate, Iroas, God of Victory, and Reconnaissance protect the attacking army from unfavorable trades, while instant-speed shields like Boros Charm and Teferi's Protection safeguard against sweepers. The deck closes games rapidly around Turn 6 by overwhelming opposing life totals with unblockable drain and extra combat phases.
