Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red midrange strategy centered on Mica, Reader of Ruins. Mica turns disposable artifact tokens—such as Treasures, Thopters, and Servos—into spell duplication triggers whenever an instant or sorcery is cast. The early game focuses on setting up cheap mana rocks and repeatable token generators like Retrofitter Foundry and Mouser Foundry. Once Mica is assembled on Turn 4 or 5, the deck generates substantial card advantage by copying rummage spells such as Big Score and Seize the Spoils, which do not require additional discard costs for the copied spell. In the mid-to-late game, the deck shifts from card flow to overwhelming pressure by copying token-creation sorceries like Molten Duplication on heavy threats like Myr Battlesphere or Combustible Gearhulk, or by resolving a doubled Chandra's Ignition. While the deck has explosive damage potential and high redundancy, it remains vulnerable to board wipes and lacks answers to opposing enchantments.
