Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Dimir Reanimator strategy piloted by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The game plan revolves around leveraging dense surveil mechanics to simultaneously filter draws, grow Mirko with +1/+1 counters, and stock the graveyard with high-impact creatures. At each end step, Mirko reanimates creatures with power less than his own, creating recurring value without mana investment. The deck supplements this with a suite of shapeshifters—such as Phyrexian Metamorph and Phantasmal Image—which enter with base power 0 in the graveyard, allowing Mirko to reanimate them immediately and copy the most powerful creatures on the battlefield. Explosive payoffs like Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Ancient Silver Dragon quickly establish overwhelming card advantage and board dominance. Supported by efficient interaction, graveyard manipulation, and unblockable combat finishers like Sun Quan, Lord of Wu, the deck presents resilient, compounding mid-game pressure.
