Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Dimir control deck built entirely from the Kamigawa block and original Ravnica: City of Guilds card pool. Commanded by Circu, Dimir Lobotomist, the strategy focuses on controlling the pace of the game through targeted library exile, hand disruption, and creature removal. The deck utilizes the Transmute mechanic to tutor situational answers and combo pieces across key mana values. Board control is maintained with cards like Orb of Dreams, Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, and Woebringer Demon. In the late game, the deck transitions from attrition to victory using large flying threats like Szadek, Lord of Secrets and Mindleech Mass, or reanimating opponent threats with Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni. While rich in nostalgia and synergistic interactions, the deck suffers from low mana velocity, high mana curves, and a slow multi-turn clock to eliminate three opponents.
