Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Ygra, Eater of All, turning every creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact. This unique ability supercharges artifact destruction, sacrifice outlets, and death triggers. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost dorks and rocks to deploy Ygra on Turn 4. Once Ygra is active, any creature death or token sacrifice adds two +1/+1 counters to Ygra, transforming it into a lethal commander damage threat. In tandem, aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, The Meathook Massacre, and Cauldron Familiar drain the table simultaneously. The deck also packs a compact infinite loop with Peregrin Took and Experimental Confectioner, generating infinite 1/1 Rats and drawing the entire library. Supported by efficient Golgari tutors and resilient protection spells like Heroic Intervention, the deck applies relentless pressure through both combat and life drain.
