Format: Commander

Commander: Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-red "goat" deck built entirely around Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, a commander that passes to each opponent's control every upkeep, growing with +1/+1 counters and gaining haste. The deck's genius is equipping Alexios with value Equipment - Mask of Memory, Goldvein Pick, Sword of the Animist, Pip-Boy 3000 - so that every combat damage trigger fires for YOU no matter who controls the creature. Alexios can't attack its owner, so opponents are forced to swing it at each other while you reap the card advantage, treasures, and land ramp. The primary win condition is commander damage: Alexios accumulates counters each cycle and, with double strike effects (Temur Battle Rage, Bulk Up, Blacksmith's Talent) and Dictate of the Twin Gods, deals lethal 21 to each opponent. Rituals and mana rocks provide explosive early deployment.
