Deck overview

This mono-black deck operates as an attrition-heavy control and reanimator strategy helmed by Sheoldred // The True Scriptures. In the early turns, it develops mana velocity via artifacts and land engines while deploying recursive sacrifice fodder like Gravecrawler and Reassembling Skeleton. Mid-game turns focus on suffocating opponents through continuous creature sacrifice, hand disruption, and board wipes like Toxic Deluge and The Meathook Massacre. Once opponents' graveyards are sufficiently stocked, the deck pivots into an overwhelming endgame: transforming Sheoldred into The True Scriptures to systematically destroy threats, strip remaining cards in hand, and steal all creature cards from all graveyards in Chapter III. Alternatively, massive mana generated by Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth powers game-ending spells like Torment of Hailfire, Breach the Multiverse, and Rise of the Dark Realms.
