Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu artifact-aristocrats engine piloted by Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter. Jan operates as both a token generator and a sacrifice outlet from the command zone, transmuting noncreature artifacts into 1/1 Construct creatures and artifact creatures into Treasure tokens. The deck weaponizes these repeated zone transitions through a dense suite of drain payoffs, including Mirkwood Bats, Ingenious Artillerist, Mayhem Devil, and Nadier's Nightblade. Value engines such as Academy Manufactor and Skullclamp generate substantial card flow and mana velocity, while board wipes like Organic Extinction and Mythos of Snapdax break parity in favor of artifact strategies. The deck steadily grinds down opponents' life totals, culminating in lethal table-wide drain around Turn 8. While resilient to board stalls, the deck remains vulnerable to focused spot removal on Jan Jansen and lacks instant-speed stack interaction.
