Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet storm and spellslinger combo list helmed by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan accelerates Vivi onto the battlefield on Turn 2 using format-staple fast mana artifacts like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Sol Ring. On Turn 3, the deck enchants Vivi with a Curiosity effect such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Because Vivi deals one damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each cheap spell triggers three card draws. This creates an immediate self-sustaining storm chain that cycles through rituals, free spells, and cantrips while growing Vivi's power to generate large bursts of mana via its activated ability. The deck converts this immense velocity into a lethal finish using Underworld Breach, Brain Freeze, or direct noncombat burn. An elite suite of free countermagic and protection spells defends the combo turn against opposing interaction.
