Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros stax list helmed by Winota, Joiner of Forces. The primary strategy rapidly deploys zero-to-two-mana non-Human creatures and oppressive stax pieces during the first two turns. Once Winota enters the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, declaring attacks with these non-Humans triggers her ability to dig through the library and cheat powerful Human creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck pairs brutal damage multipliers like Blade Historian and Angrath's Marauders with hard stax locks like Archon of Emeria, Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Clarion Conqueror. Because Winota's triggers put creatures into play without casting spells, the deck completely breaks parity on Rule of Law effects while stifling opposing combos. Backed by cheap protection pieces like Mother of Runes and Skrelv, Defector Mite, the deck routinely closes games via overwhelming combat damage within one response cycle of onset, complemented by infinite combat combos via Combat Celebrant and Rionya, Fire Dancer.
