Soldier On by user1296594

Format: Commander

Commander: Myrel, Shield of Argive

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Myrel, Shield of Argive leads a mono-white Soldier go-wide deck that wins through combat, not combos. Myrel locks opponents out of casting and activating artifacts, creatures, and enchantments on your turn and doubles your Soldier count each time she attacks. The deck builds a wide board with token makers like Oketra's Monument, Horn of Gondor, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion, then closes with anthem finishers such as Moonshaker Cavalry, Akroma's Will, and Mirror Entity. Secondary stax pieces like Deafening Silence, Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben slow faster decks while you assemble. Prava of the Steel Legion acts as a hidden anthem and token source that supports the same plan without the commander.
