Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-red Dragon tribal strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early mana acceleration and cost reducers to cast Lathliss ahead of curve, then following up with large Dragon spells to trigger her ability and flood the skies with 5/5 Dragon tokens. The deck features heavy creature beaters such as Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Goldspan Dragon, and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest, supplemented by burst damage from Dragon Tempest. Because it operates entirely through combat damage and battlefield presence, its clock reliably initiates on Turn 7 and closes on Turn 9. The deck struggles with a low land count of 29 lands, minimal board wipe protection, and a near-total inability to interact with opposing enchantments or non-creature combos. However, its aerial density provides consistent independent backup plans even when the commander is repeatedly removed.
