Goreclaw by peanutbh

Format: Commander

Commander: Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green "power matters" battlecruiser built around Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma. The plan is straightforward: deploy heavy ramp, get Goreclaw and other cost reducers online, then bury opponents under a stream of power-4+ creatures that draw cards via Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, Soul of the Harvest, Up the Beanstalk, and The Great Henge. The deck has no infinite combos; instead, it wins through a single overwhelming combat step, typically via Craterhoof Behemoth - cheated with Natural Order or hard-cast under Goreclaw's discount - or the one-card finishers Overwhelming Stampede, Finale of Devastation at X 10, Last March of the Ents, and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant. Redundant discounters like Nylea, Keen-Eyed, Defiler of Vigor, and Emerald Medallion mean the plan executes even if the commander is dealt with. It is an honest, powerful midrange deck that accelerates to a huge trampling alpha strike.
