Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on Zombie tribal synergies, sacrifice mechanics, and aristocrats drain effects. The game plan centers on developing durable Zombie fodder during the early turns, establishing Gisa as an explosive token generator, and converting those tokens into lethal combat steps or table-wide life loss. The list features dense tribal payoffs like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Lord of the Accursed, supported by iconic mono-black closers including Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Living Death. While the deck possesses immense graveyard resilience and potent creature suppression through Noxious Ghoul, it operates largely at sorcery speed and remains vulnerable to exile-based sweepers and noncreature combo strategies.
