Deck overview

This Mardu list is a legendary-matters graveyard engine. Terra, Herald of Hope acts as a repeatable mill-and-recur source: Trance mills two each combat and safely returns small creatures on hit. Secondary recursion from Alesha, Chainer, Karmic Guide, and mass effects like Rise of the Dark Realms turns the graveyard into card advantage. The deck pressures with evasive/first-strike creatures, +1/+1 synergy from Celes and Ardbert, and a few powerful payoffs in Flayer of the Hatebound, Gau, and Sephiroth. The finishing plans are extra-combat attacks with Aurelia, double-strike boosts from Squall/Sunhome, and a board-swinging Saga or mass reanimation. It is not a fast combo deck; it wins by grinding out and overwhelming with recursion.
