Deck overview

This mono-black deck blends Zombie tribal synergies with Liliana planeswalker flavor and reanimator strategies, led by Liliana the Repentant. The deck focuses on filling the graveyard early through self-mill triggers from low-cost creatures like Stitcher's Supplier and Undead Butler. In the mid-game, card-draw engines like Undead Augur and Cryptbreaker keep hand velocity high while Zombie lords buff the board. The endgame leverages explosive mass reanimation spells like Living Death and Command the Dreadhorde to return a massive army simultaneously, draining the table with Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Syr Konrad, the Grim before swinging for lethal combat. While extremely resilient against creature destruction thanks to cheap recursion, the deck must navigate vulnerabilities to graveyard exile and a lack of direct artifact interaction.
