Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius blink and token swarm strategy helmed by Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Candlekeep Sage. The game plan revolves around casting low-cost permanents with enter-the-battlefield abilities—such as mana rocks, card drawers like Wall of Omens and Spirited Companion, and tempo disruptors like Reflector Mage—before deploying Abdel Adrian to tuck them into exile and create 1/1 Soldier tokens. By chaining cheap instant-speed flicker spells such as Ephemerate, Cloudshift, and Momentary Blink, the deck repeatedly triggers all tucked permanents at once while simultaneously triggering Candlekeep Sage and generating a massive army of Soldiers. While vulnerable to mass exile effects and lacking instant-speed stack interaction, the deck exhibits extraordinary resilience against standard spot removal and board wipes, as removing Abdel immediately returns the entire tucked value engine straight onto the battlefield.
