Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Sphinx tribal midrange list helmed by The Ur-Sphinx. It uses the commander's eminence ability to reduce the cost of all Sphinx spells by one generic mana from the command zone. Supported by explosive fast mana like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Chrome Mox, the deck accelerates quickly into dominating engines like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx. Once established, it generates massive card advantage and deploys enormous flying beaters ahead of schedule. The deck controls the tempo of the table using premier interaction like Force of Will, Mana Drain, and Raise the Palisade. When The Ur-Sphinx enters combat, it triggers mass mill across all players and casts the best milled spells for free, overwhelming opponents with stolen value and aerial combat damage.
