Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control build engineered around partner commanders Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker and Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools, using a polymorph package to cheat The Unspeakable onto the battlefield. By running The Unspeakable as the sole creature card in the 99, targeting a Thrull token from Tevesh Szat with Reweave guarantees putting the 6/7 flying Spirit directly into play. Once on the battlefield, The Unspeakable connects in combat to repeatedly retrieve key Arcane spells from the graveyard, notably Choice of Damnations, Eerie Procession, and defensive Arcane spells. The rest of the deck consists of a potent interaction suite featuring countermagic, board wipes, and asymmetric control pieces like Humility and Breathstealer's Crypt. While the deck plays on a fair mana curve without fast mana rocks, its redundant tutor package, high land count, and resilient backup lines through Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker and Shark Typhoon ensure steady and commanding late-game execution.
