Deck overview

Led by Carnage, Crimson Chaos, this Rakdos deck is a synergistic Aristocrats and Reanimator engine built around low-mana value utility creatures, rapid self-mill, and sacrifice loops. The primary game plan centers on depositing impactful 3-mana creatures—such as Triarch Praetorian, Warren Soultrader, and Lightning Skelemental—into the graveyard, then resolving Carnage to reanimate them straight into combat. By combining free sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader and Phyrexian Altar with death-trigger payoffs like Mayhem Devil, Marionette Apprentice, and Zulaport Cutthroat, the deck establishes a compounding attrition engine. A dense suite of one-mana 'feign death' spells allows Carnage to survive removal and trigger multiple reanimation waves in a single turn. While vulnerable to graveyard hate and lacking stack countermagic, the deck possesses high functional redundancy and resilient recovery routes that consistently drain the entire table across turns 5 to 7.
