Deck overview

This deck ramps toward large colorless threats, with Emrakul, the Promised End as its main centerpiece. Its commander is always accessible, and graveyard card types reduce the casting cost, but the deck still needs a developed mana base and several setup turns. The main threat begins when Emrakul is cast around turn 7: the cast trigger controls an opponent's next turn, and the 13/13 body is difficult for instant-speed removal to answer. The deck then applies pressure with flying, trample, annihilator, large Eldrazi, and artifact-based support. It does not reliably convert that advantage into a same-turn or compact table kill. Its interaction is broad in theory but often narrow or expensive, while protection is concentrated in Not of This World and Swiftfoot Boots. Ugin, the Ineffable and Ugin, Eye of the Storms improve the resource engine, but they do not create a total lock. The list is strongest in slower games where repeated combat and permanent advantage matter.
