Deck overview

This deck leverages Jared Carthalion, True Heir to turn symmetry-breaking damage effects into overwhelming offensive power. The strategy begins by casting Jared, gifting the Monarch to an opponent, and immediately reclaiming it in combat. Once you hold the crown, Jared prevents all incoming damage and converts it into +1/+1 counters. Symmetrical sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Chandra's Ignition serve a dual purpose: they clear opposing boards while transforming Jared into a colossal, lethal threat. The deck reinforces this core engine with damage redirection tools like Pariah and Martyrdom, allowing incoming enemy attacks to grow Jared even further. A dense suite of premium protection spells, including Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Heroic Intervention, keeps your commander safe from targeted exile and removal. Finishers like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Akroma's Will ensure the massive commander damage quickly eliminates the entire table over two combat cycles.
