Deck overview

This mono-black Commander deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, leveraging an aggressive Zombie tribal shell optimized with high-power, low-mana sacrifice fodder. Rather than slowly building a token army, the deck accelerates out creatures with disproportionate power—such as Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, and Bygone Colossus—and converts them with Gisa into instantaneous swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once wide, the list amplifies its board through classic lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, while aristocrat drain engines like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Plague Belcher, and Mirkwood Bats punish opponents for attempting removal. Drawing cards via Cryptbreaker, Graveborn Muse, and Skullclamp ensures sustained momentum, while targeted recursion recovers lost pieces. The deck presents a lethal board by Turn 5 and closes games by Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage and life drain.
