Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Mizzix of the Izmagnus, built around two interlocking themes: cost reduction via experience counters and a proliferate subtheme to accelerate that engine. The primary game plan is to deploy Mizzix early, rack up experience counters through cheap instants and sorceries, then chain spells into a big finish - either a stormed-out Grapeshot or an overloaded Crackle with Power to eliminate the table. Proliferate effects like Flux Channeler, Inexorable Tide, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus double the experience-counter growth, letting the deck reach critical discount thresholds faster. The win is typically assembled through a single explosive turn where past-in-flame recursion, ritual mana from Mana Geyser or Brass's Bounty, and Mizzix's discounts convert a hand full of cheap spells into lethal damage. There is no infinite combo - victory relies on raw spell volume and X-spell reach.
