Pirate Azula by SmoreJoy

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a Grixis spellslinger/treasure deck that wants to attack with its commander to unlock copied spells and Firebending mana. The core loop is turning combat into an explosive, storm-like turn: Azula attacks, adds {R}{R}, and every spell cast while she is attacking is copied. Rituals like Seething Song and Dark Ritual become mana doublers, Electrodominance becomes a repeated free-cast engine, and copied permanents such as Smaug, Wicked Worm double their enter-the-battlefield effects. The 99 is a treasure/exile-cast shell with Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Prosper, Tome-Bound, Etali, Primal Storm, and The Madcap Jester providing cards and mana. Wins come from overwhelming dragon combat, copied burn, or a treasure-pumped Evereth, Viceroy of Plunder draining the table. Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Mirror Box let you run multiple Azulas for doubled spell copies.
