Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu artifact midrange and beatdown deck commanded by Megatron, Tyrant // Megatron, Destructive Force. The core strategy involves ramping into Megatron's converted Vehicle form on Turn 4 via More Than Meets the Eye, then attacking on Turn 5 to sacrifice high-mana-value affinity creatures like Metalwork Colossus and Scuttling Doom Engine. This trigger removes an opposing blocker, deals heavy excess burn damage to its controller, and flips Megatron into robot form. In the postcombat main phase, Megatron converts that life loss into an equivalent burst of colorless mana, fueling explosive plays such as Saheeli's Directive or Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant. Opponents are silenced during your combat steps, allowing safe attack execution. The deck leverages high artifact density, graveyard recursion, and asymmetric wipes like Organic Extinction to steadily overwhelm opponents over subsequent turns.
