Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck maximizes mana efficiency by converting over-statted, low-cost creatures into massive cost reduction for Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By deploying mana dorks on Turn 1 and high-power threats like Steel Leaf Champion or Pugnacious Hammerskull on Turn 2 and 3, the deck reliably casts a 12/12 trample commander for just two green mana on Turn 4. From there, it transitions into overwhelming combat pressure, using power-scaling draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Garruk's Uprising to keep its hand full while finishing opponents with Overwhelming Stampede or Unnatural Growth. The deck possesses strong recovery due to standalone threats like Elder Gargaroth and Gigantosaurus, which immediately re-discount Ghalta after board wipes. However, it remains vulnerable to sweepers and instant-speed removal due to a light protection package and total reliance on combat.
