Deck overview

This is an Orzhov Aristocrats/Drain ("Bleeder") deck helmed by Kambal, Consul of Allocation, built to convert every spell, creature death, and life-gain trigger into a mounting, table-wide drain that grinds out three opponents simultaneously. The primary game plan is to establish a critical mass of drain triggers-Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, Bastion of Remembrance, extort creatures, and Kambal himself-then weaponize the life advantage through Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood, Vizkopa Guildmage, and Exsanguinate. The deck plays a controlling midrange game: removal, board wipes, pillowfort effects and life buffers keep the table from turning sideways while the drain totals climb. Its single best-known line is the two-card Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood loop, where any opponent life loss loops into infinite life drain; everything else is incremental attrition that ends the game through inevitability.
