Deck overview

This deck is an Esper combo-control strategy commanded by Merieke Ri Berit. It controls the early game with efficient spot removal, counterspells, and Merieke's repeatable creature theft and destruction ability. Powerful draw engines such as Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring generate steady card advantage while a dense tutor suite gathers combo components. The primary win line pairs Grand Architect with Pili-Pala to generate infinite colored mana, which is funneled into Memnarch to steal every opposing permanent and land for a complete lockout. Robust backup plans include stealing all permanents with Aura Thief and Enchanted Evening, or gifting a token copy of Phage the Untouchable via Fractured Identity to eliminate all opponents on their enter-the-battlefield triggers. Protected by Grand Abolisher, Silence, and free countermagic, the deck reliably pivots from defensive attrition into sudden, decisive victories.
