Deck overview

This Jund midrange deck uses fights and damage to control the board and force sacrifices. Maarika, Brutal Gladiator is the main engine: she must be blocked, has indestructible on your turn, and when she deals excess damage to a creature its controller sacrifices a noncreature, nonland permanent. You ramp early, deploy Maarika or backup fighters, then turn fight spells and damage effects into removal and sacrifice pressure. Trample and deathtouch (Basilisk Collar, Saryth, Garruk's Uprising) create excess damage reliably. Secondary wins come from reflected damage (Brash Taunter/Stuffy Doll/Barbed Servitor with Blasphemous Act/Arcbond) and mass damage (Chandra's Ignition). Gargos, Vicious Watcher acts as a hidden commander, giving repeatable fights without Maarika.
