Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Poison and Aristocrats list commanded by The Serpent Society. It leverages low-cost deathtouch creatures to create an oppressive defensive web and an asymmetric attrition engine. Because The Serpent Society forces every opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature whenever one of your deathtouch creatures dies, opponents face disastrous trades in combat. Meanwhile, the commander's Ward-5 poison ability makes targeted removal extremely hazardous. The deck closes games through poison counters, combining toxic and infect attackers with Fynn, the Fangbearer, proliferate triggers, and heavyweight finishers like Phyrexian Swarmlord and Tyrranax Rex. While highly effective at controlling ground combat and applying steady poison pressure, the deck relies heavily on creature permanents and lacks stack-based protection against mass exile and sweepers.
