Xavier Sal, Infested Captain by user5181481

Commander: Xavier Sal, Infested Captain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Sultai poison strategy that rapidly inflicts poison counters on all opponents before proliferating them to lethal levels. Xavier Sal, Infested Captain provides repeatable proliferation and token creation, but the deck operates primarily as a resilient, non-combat poison clock. Early turns deploy cheap infect and toxic creatures alongside symmetrical infect enablers like Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis. Midgame engines including Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician accelerate counter proliferation across the table. Powerful finishers like Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider and Radstorm swiftly close out the game by compounding poison counters beyond opponent recovery.
